About Tommy Weber

Tommy is a nationally known and respected baseball coach with a commitment to player development and the highest level skills instruction. Dozens of Weber’s former players have gone on to play professionally, including SF Giants first-round pick Hunter Bishop, Brandon Martorano (C) and  Chris Wright (LHP) of the SF Giants, NY Yankees and Minnesota Twins OF Zack Granite, Baltimore Orioles SS AJ Graffanino, Seattle Mariners pitcher Matt Festa, Chicago White Sox OF Steele Walker, Toronto Blue Jays IF Logan Warmoth, Toronto Blue Jays OF Ryan Noda, Arizona Diamondbacks OF Dom Canzone, Detroit Tigers IF Gage Workman and St. Louis Cardinals LHP Zack Thompson.

Since 2018, Tommy has provided off-season coaching and skills conditioning to a number of his players.

Tommy was the bench coach for the Cape Cod League Brewster Whitecaps (2017-2019) including the 2017 championship season.  Weber also founded and managed the Staten Island Tide of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League in 2010, and managed the Tide to six straight ACBL playoff appearances, three division titles, three championship game appearances and the 2011 ACBL Championship. Over that six-year span, the Tide compiled a 137-86 and had over a dozen players signed to pro ball.

In 2014, Weber did double duty working with the Brooklyn Cyclones, the New York Mets Class A short season club, alongside former major leaguers Edgardo Alfonso and Benny DiStefano.  Weber was an assistant coach at Division I Wagner College for 15 years and Division I St. Francis (Brooklyn) for seven.  A record-setting shortstop and captain at Wagner College and named outstanding player at the 1981 ECAC Regional tournament, an injury would end his playing career during spring training with the Boston Red Sox.   

Weber is an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Sport Management, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses.
